Site Supervisor – Substation Project (Wagga Wagga Region)
A contractor delivering a major infrastructure substation project is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join a live site immediately. This role will oversee civil and structural works including concrete, FRP (formwork, reinforcement and pour), steel installation and formwork, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule and to specification.
This is a hands‐on leadership role, coordinating approximately 25 personnel on site, including subcontractors and labour crews. The successful candidate will bring strong site presence, the ability to manage teams effectively, and proven experience working on large‐scale civil or infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate civil construction activities including excavation, concrete foundations, steel installation, and FRP works.
* Manage and direct site crews and subcontractors (approx. 25 workers) to ensure productivity and quality standards are maintained.
* Ensure works comply with engineering drawings, project specifications and quality standards.
* Promote and maintain a strong safety culture on a live project site, including toolbox talks and adherence to site procedures.
* Liaise with project managers, engineers and stakeholders to monitor progress and resolve site issues efficiently.
Requirements
* Demonstrated Site Supervisor experience on large civil or infrastructure projects.
* Strong understanding of civil works, concrete, steel reinforcement, FRP and formwork.
* Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate subcontractors effectively.
* Strong communication skills with a focus on safety, quality and productivity.
* Available to start immediately.
Position Details
* Location: Wagga Wagga region
* Roster: 3:1 swing (DIDO)
* Accommodation provided
* Rate: $100/hour + super (day rate also available)
* Start: ASAP
* Duration: Project expected to run up to 3 years, with the option to move into a permanent role for the right candidate.
