Role Description:

The role of a Digital Communications Advisor involves liaising with senior stakeholders across the organisation to manage the end-to-end publication process for hundreds of documents each year. This includes managing the publishing calendar, discussing teams' communication needs, ensuring all publications are approved through the correct sign-off process, and publishing them to the website.

The Digital Communications Advisor will also support the ongoing maintenance of the website in collaboration with the Digital Communications Manager and contribute to APRA's LinkedIn channel and other digital projects as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for maintaining the publishing schedule, proactively working with teams to publish news and web updates on time, accurately, to a high standard, and meeting accessibility standards;
2. Use content management systems to share publications with subscribers;
3. Coordinate the input of work from a wide variety of sources to ensure that deadlines are met;
4. Manage time and prioritise issues, given that a diverse range of problems can be encountered simultaneously;
5. Develop relationships with key internal stakeholders and build influence and trust to ensure a well-organised publishing process;
6. Manage the team's ticketing system, ensuring that tasks are assigned to the most appropriate people in a timely manner;
7. Support social media management, particularly LinkedIn; and
8. Support the broader requirements of the Corporate Affairs team as required.


About You:

* Experience of using content management systems, prior experience of Drupal will be highly regarded;
* Proficient in using EDM platforms, familiarity with MailChimp will be highly regarded;
* Comfortable working in a Microsoft environment, with strong capabilities in using Word, PowerPoint & Excel;
* Able to navigate dynamic environments to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes;
* Strong interpersonal, communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills to influence outcomes;
* Proactive attitude and the ability to think creatively;
* Knowledge of digital accessibility standards and best practices;
* High integrity to manage confidential and sensitive information;
* Analyse and interpret information contained in management reports to derive key insights and recommend appropriate actions or next steps;
* Sound judgment and proactive approach to problem solving and escalating in need; and
* An understanding and interest in evolving digital technologies.
