Your new role
Reporting to senior management, you will play a key role in ensuring inventory efficiency and availability across the business. Your responsibilities will include:
* Collaborating with senior managers to determine optimal order quantities using ERP systems, spreadsheets, and Power BI to minimise inventory and maximise efficiency.
* Placing orders with local and overseas suppliers, coordinating import certifications as required.
* Identifying and eliminating slow-moving and obsolete stock across multiple warehouses.
* Working with IT teams and suppliers to ensure accurate data collection for procurement decision-making and reporting.
* Driving continuous improvement of ERP systems, spreadsheets, and Power BI reporting to meet evolving business needs.
* Enhancing EDI efficiencies with suppliers.
* Developing a strong understanding of sales, operations, and supplier constraints to improve decision-making.
What you'll need to succeed
* 3-5 years' experience as an analyst in inventory management or supply chain within an Australian wholesaling business.
* Tertiary qualification in Business, Mathematics, Science, or Logistics (Bachelor level preferred).
* Highly analytical with advanced Excel skills and experience in Power BI or similar reporting tools.
* ERP system experience and strong data-driven decision-making capability.
* Exposure to building materials industry is highly desirable.
