We are seeking a skilled Structural Designer to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced engineer to work on a variety of projects in the buildings and infrastructure space.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contemporary design standards, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
About the Role
As a Structural Designer, you will be responsible for designing, analysing and assessing structures across a range of projects. You will work closely with Senior Engineers and project teams to ensure continuous delivery of high quality, safe and efficient designs.
You will also engage with clients, contractors and stakeholders to meet project goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and develop structural works plans using software such as SPACE GASS, Strand7, ETABS and/or RAPT
2. Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders to ensure project goals and objectives are met
3. Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with regulation requirements
4. Prepare project reports, technical documents and proposals
5. Be involved in the mentorship of engineering graduates
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
* 3+ years' experience in Structural design
* Proficiency in relevant software such as SPACE GASS, Strand7, ETABS and/or RAPT
* A strong understanding of contemporary design standards such as AS1170, AS4100, AS3600, AS3700, AS1720 and more
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
