About the Role
The Australian Export Standards Branch aims to enhance access to valuable export markets for meat, fish, dairy, eggs, inedible animal products and processed foods.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical veterinary expertise on matters relating to animal health and food safety.
* Contribute to addressing topical issues critical for the future exports of Australian meat and meat products.
* Establish effective communication and collaboration with government agencies, industry bodies, and other stakeholders in support of technical market access.
We seek applicants with a strong understanding of Australia's food safety, biosecurity, and animal health systems. Relevant trade experience and knowledge of Australian export legislation and agricultural industries is highly desirable.
Requirements
* Bachelor level degree from a recognised Australian institution.
* Relevant fields such as science, public health, agricultural economics, law, international relations, or public policy are considered advantageous.
