A well-established Financial Services organisation is seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Manager to support a critical Asset Management function within a complex and highly regulated environment. This role sits within a core second-line function and reports into the Head of Risk & Compliance, with close exposure to senior executives and governance forums. Operating at the intersection of regulation, risk management and commercial decision-making, the role plays a key part in enabling the business to execute its strategy in line with regulatory obligations and board-approved risk appetite. The position offers broad scope, strong visibility and the opportunity to make an immediate impact across risk and compliance activities within Asset Management. Key responsibilities Support the implementation, operation and ongoing enhancement of the Asset Management Risk & Compliance Framework Monitor regulatory developments and support business responses, including engagement with regulators where required Maintain and enhance compliance policies, monitoring programs and training initiatives Manage breach assessments, root cause analysis and regulatory reporting obligations Support registered scheme compliance plans, including annual reviews and coordination with external auditors Prepare risk and compliance reporting for senior management, committees and Boards Support oversight of licence obligations and broader compliance governance activities Partner closely with business leaders to provide practical, commercially focused risk and compliance advice Key requirements Demonstrated experience in risk or compliance within financial services. Desriable - big 4 risk consulting background within financial services. Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance obligations applicable to Asset Management Experience managing compliance monitoring, breach management and regulatory reporting processes Proven ability to analyse complex issues, identify root causes and implement effective remediation Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders and executives Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing governance-level reporting Ability to manage competing priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced, regulated environment Why consider this opportunity?
