The Underground Nipper plays a key support role in assisting the mining team to achieve daily operational targets.

Deflector Operation consists of two high-grade, narrow vein Gold / Copper mines, located 160 km east of Geraldton. The ore is contained in a series of structurally complex lodes, namely the Deflector and Deflector Southwest deposits.
Reporting to the Underground Supervisor ,the Underground Nipper plays a key support role in assisting the mining team to achieve daily operational targets.Working closely with Jumbo Operators, this role ensures tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with Vault Minerals' Zero Harm principles.
This position will be offered on a 14 : 14 FIFO roster from Perth or 14 : 14 DIDO roster from Geraldton.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Jumbo Operators with ground support and development activities
Safely transport and set up equipment and materials in line with shift plans
Maintain high standards of housekeeping in work areas and light vehicles
Monitor and manage inventory of ground support materials
Communicate clearly with the mining team and contribute to shift handovers
Identify and report hazards, and complete safety documentation (Take 5s, JHAs)
Support continuous improvement and contribute to safe, productive operations
Perform other underground duties as directed by the supervisor
About You
Experience & Qualifications
Completion of Year 10 education
Previous underground mining experience (preferred)
Required Certifications
WA Manual Driver's Licence (C-Class)
Senior First Aid Certificate
Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)
