Senior Project Engineer
The Senior Project Engineer plays a pivotal role in delivering client projects that span across various technology aspects, including infrastructure upgrades, migrations to cloud services like Office365, core business application relocations, and Azure Active Directory management. This position requires adaptability, technical expertise, and strong communication skills.
This leadership role demands a deep understanding of the project's complexities, as well as the ability to champion our organization's vision and values. The successful candidate will provide exceptional support to team members and stakeholders alike, ensuring seamless collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Position-Specific Responsibilities:
* Timely completion of assigned project tasks by the Project Coordinator or Manager
* Collaboration with the Project Coordinator, Project Manager, Technical Services Manager, and Service Manager for updates and progress
* Documentation of all project steps and implementation processes
* Point of escalation for project-related tasks via the service desk
Desired Skills and Experience:
* Relevant IT certifications (e.g., vendor-specific)
* A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT or a related field
* Technical proficiency in Microsoft server technologies, including AD, SQL, Exchange, and CA
* Familiarity with implementing and supporting solutions in Azure, such as Microsoft Office 365, Azure AD, and Sharepoint
* Experience with virtualization technologies like VMWare, AHV, HyperV, and KVM
* Strong understanding of Windows Server management (2008-2016)
* At least 7 years of experience in a similar role within a traditional managed services provider
* Networking fundamentals knowledge, CCNA, Sophos, WatchGuard, Aruba, and Fortinet
* Solid grasp of ITIL service delivery methodologies
* Proficiency with ConnectWise Manage
* Backup technologies, including Veeam
* Experience with BrightGauge and/or Power BI
