**Hotel Brand:** InterContinental
Location: Australia, New South Wales, Sydney
Under the general direction of the Director of F&B, ensure the smooth conduct of the shift through customer-focused service delivery and effective staff supervision within the scope of established InterContinental Hotels Group and local hotel policies and procedures.
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be responsible for:
* Managing everyday activity, planning, and assigning work to ensure the right staffing numbers
* Developing your team and improving their performance through coaching and feedback, and creating performance and development goals for colleagues
* Training colleagues to deliver services with compliance and to the expected standards
* Recommending or initiating any HR-related actions where needed
* Maintaining all food and beverage equipment in operational condition and ensuring regular cleaning
* Ensuring all food and beverage facilities, including banquet/convention spaces, are clean and properly stocked according to anticipated business volume. Notify engineering immediately of any maintenance and repair needs
* Monitoring budget and controlling expenses with a focus on food, beverage, and labor costs
* Collaborating with the catering office to identify additional sales opportunities to enhance revenue
* Driving promotions that deliver great dining experiences for guests at a good value
* Ensuring credit and financial transactions are handled securely
What We Need from You:
* Availability across a 7-day roster, particularly PM shifts
* 1 year's experience in a full-time F&B role, preferably in a hotel or luxury restaurant environment and specializing in the field
* Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, enthusiasm to learn new things, and above all, a can-do attitude
* Proficiency in delivering a seamless experience to customers
* Willingness to support and mentor junior staff as necessary
* Eligibility to live and work in Australia
