OverviewFrancis Venues are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team at A Cut Above – Bar & Grill, located in Berwick.
As a steakhouse, we pride ourselves on premium quality dishes and exceptional customer experiences — and we're looking for a chef who can bring both skill and dedication to the role.What we're looking forStrong grill experience, with confidence in preparing steaks to perfection.Proven background in fast-paced commercial kitchens.Solid knowledge of OS&H; and food safety standards.Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality.A positive, adaptable attitude with a willingness to learn.Team player with excellent communication skills.High standards of presentation, integrity, and consistency in all work.Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.Availability to work on a 7-day rotating roster (40 hours per week), including weekends and public holidays.Key responsibilitiesLead and support the kitchen team in delivering high-quality meals.Assist in planning menus and developing daily specials.Create prep lists and ensure productive workflow for the kitchen crew.Monitor food costing, inventory, and wastage control.Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and presentation.Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.At Francis Venues, we value attention to detail, passion for hospitality, and a commitment to delivering a 10/10 dining experience for our guests.
