Our Explosive Ordnance (EO) Systems team enables the Australian Defence Force through storage, distribution, maintenance and disposal of EO systems across Australia. As a turnkey solution, we offer opportunities to gain a holistic understanding of our business operations and grow significantly. In this exciting role, you will manage the EO Services Site in the Northern Territory to ensure safety, compliance and customer service. Based on the Darwin RAAF site on Larrakia land, your role is to manage and operationalise EO storage, handling, and distribution activities in the Northern Territory. Responsibilities
Manage and maintain a receipt, storage, maintenance and distribution capability for EO Develop and implement local procedures for the conduct of EO operations in the Northern Territory region Manage stocktake activities, transport movements, inventory activities, and survey/quote tasks Coordinate the preparation and timely submission of relevant reports and documentation Adhere to the dedicated stocking and resupply program for EO and associated items Manage the recruitment and development of staff Liaise and communicate with foreign and domestic customers on force requirements, service levels and opportunities for improvement Experience and qualifications
Leadership experience within transport, logistics, or defence sectors with a track record of managing a team Demonstrated experience in logistics management Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively Tertiary qualification to Diploma level (or higher) in Logistics or a relevant business/industry subject Proficiency in Word and Excel and ability to learn Thales personnel management systems Demonstrated experience working with dangerous goods Availability for regular interstate travel As part of our commitment, we offer
