About The Role
As a Poultry Biosecurity and Animal Welfare Technician, you will be responsible for strengthening on-farm standards and supporting farm managers through consistent implementation of biosecurity and animal welfare protocols. The role involves monitoring compliance, leading routine audits, and promoting best practice procedures across sites. This position is essential for maintaining the well-being of our poultry, sustaining our operations, and ensuring our business's continued success.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in the rollout of biosecurity and welfare policies across farms, providing technical support and training to farm personnel.
Work with management to develop and standardise practices, ensuring consistent application across all farm locations.
Conduct regular farm inspections and audits, preparing detailed reports and provide support in closing out corrective actions.
Track poultry health and welfare, maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns to management.
Work closely with the Quality team and farm managers to enhance biosecurity and welfare practices.
Stay updated on industry standards, recommending and implementing improvements to current practices.
What We Are Looking For
Previous poultry farming experience.
Experience writing reports preferred but not essential
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Effective problem-solving skills with sound decision-making.
Flexibility with working hours as needed.
Willingness to travel regularly to various farm locations.
An understanding of animal welfare standards and biosecurity protocols is an advantage
