Job Title: Skilled Nursing Professional
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated nursing professional to join our team as a Grade 5 Registered Nurse. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents by providing high-quality nursing care and leading our clinical nursing team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide safe, competent, and contemporary clinical nursing care to residents within the scope of practice as determined by AHPRA.
* Lead and work collaboratively with other registered nurses, enrolled nurses, and healthcare workers to ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing and personal care to residents.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and legislation, including ANACC documentation and submission to the Associate Director of Clinical Services.
* Maintain quality systems, including infection control, rotation of stock, safety of hazardous materials, and handling/disposal of medical waste.
* Attend to the completion of audits as directed by the Care Manager and initiate, complete, and follow up RISKMAN entries.
Requirements:
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, with a Board-approved qualification in medicines administration.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in aged care, supported by well-developed and contemporary clinical skills and knowledge.
* Sound communication, interpersonal, and negotiating skills, including well-developed written and oral skills.
* Developed leadership skills to foster team cohesion and support effective team management.
* Ability to approach difficult tasks and sudden changes appropriately.
* A high level of understanding regarding the ANACC funding system.
