The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager – M&E to oversee the Eyre Peninsula project and take responsibility for the broader South Australia region in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) services.

* Project Development & Delivery
o Define and implement construction methodologies aligned with asset owner requirements.
o Ensure project designs meet budget and constructability constraints.
o Identify and mitigate design risks to enhance construction efficiency.
o Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and governance.
o Apply lateral thinking to develop sustainable, long-term solutions.
o Ensure compliance with quality analysis, research, and governance standards.
o Develop and manage cost plans and project cash flows.
o Oversee contract programs to track obligations and manage claims effectively.
o Identify emerging trends and align project goals with broader business strategy.
o Ensure risk management and compliance processes are integrated into project delivery.
o Manage Extension of Time (EOT) processes and contractual submissions.
* Construction Engineering & Operations
o Oversee construction phases to ensure budget adherence and constructability.
o Promote accountability and high standards in health, safety, and environmental compliance.
o Develop and implement project demobilisation strategies.
o Identify opportunities for variations and additional scope of work.
o Support bidding and tendering activities to drive revenue growth.


Required Skills and Competencies

* Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
* Expertise in project management methodologies, budgeting, and scheduling.
* High-level analytical skills to navigate complex technical and policy issues.
* Commitment to safety, environmental sustainability, and social impact.
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
* Construction Induction Training (CIT/White Card) (face-to-face training only).
* A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
* At least 15 years' experience in the construction industry with a focus on large-scale infrastructure projects.
* Minimum 10 years of leadership experience managing project teams.
* In-depth expertise in engineering project management, site management, and risk assessment.
