Structural Project Engineer Role Overview
This senior-level engineering position is responsible for leading the design review, analysis and execution of complex construction projects.
Key responsibilities include driving structural integrity, ensuring compliance with industry standards and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, cost-effective and high-quality structures.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead structural design reviews, procurement and installation on site, ensuring compliance with Australian standards.
* Develop and approve structural packages, aligning with project specifications and feasibility.
* Conduct site assessments to ensure structural integrity and construction suitability.
* Apply advanced structural analysis to optimize construction methods.
* Prepare and review technical drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Manage budgets, contracts and procurement, optimizing financial efficiency.
* Lead quality assurance, providing training and oversight to uphold construction excellence.
* Drive a safety-first culture, conducting structural construction and component-related risk assessments and implementing preventative measures.
* Collaborate with project managers, architects and other site teams for structural integration.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (accredited by Engineers Australia if obtained overseas).
* Over 7 years experience in structural engineering across design review, analysis and execution of large-scale projects with at least 3 years in Australia.
* Proficiency in MS Office, BIM and project management software (e.g. Procore).
* PMP certification is a strong advantage.
* Ability to oversee structural engineering from design review to completion.
* Ability to identify and implement efficient solutions in structural design and execution.

Others:
This role is based at either Northern Beaches or Macquarie Park offices. The project is located overseas in the Solomon Islands. There will be travel involved across Australia and overseas to Vietnam/Solomon Islands 2-4 times per year.
