About This Opportunity
Our world-leading School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences is seeking an experienced Lecturer to join its dedicated Physiotherapy teaching team.
This appointment will be offered as either a Teaching-Focused or Clinical Academic role, commensurate with the successful candidate's skills, experience, and preference.
We welcome applications from qualified Physiotherapists with expertise in any area of practice or specialisation.
Initially, this position will contribute to broad, entry-level Physiotherapy courses; however we would be keen to pursue future specialist area opportunities.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to build a strong profile in clinical teaching, clinical research, service, and engagement, and/or to expand your teaching impact through leadership in course coordination aligned with UQ values.
At this level, the appointee may coordinate or lead the activities of other staff and influence teaching practices, policies, and knowledge within the discipline.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality physiotherapy teaching to undergraduate and graduate students.
* Develop and maintain curriculum and assessment strategies for entry-level courses.
* Coordinate or lead teaching activities, including clinical placement supervision and course governance.
* Engage in clinical research projects and disseminate findings through scholarly publications and conferences.
* Contribute to institutional service activities and professional development initiatives.
* Collaborate with colleagues across departments to enhance teaching quality and student outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
* A recognised degree in Physiotherapy and full AHPRA registration.
* Significant clinical practice experience and a demonstrated commitment to teaching or educational leadership.
* Evidence of research activity or potential for research engagement within the discipline.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
* Unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
