About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Business Analyst with a strong background in both IT and business operations to lead the initial process design phase for a greenfield implementation of a new collections system, specifically within the mortgages sector. This role is highly focused on foundational process analysis and optimisation before system enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greenfield Process Mapping: Independently lead and execute detailed 'as-is' and 'to-be' process mapping workshops for all collections functions, identifying current operational constraints and inefficiencies ('process inhibitors').
* Collections Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of collections processes (preferably within mortgages) to design best-practice, future-state operating models that align business objectives with system capabilities.
* Business Operations Focus: Prioritise understanding and documenting business needs and operational workflows as the foundational step. Ensure all business processes are clearly defined, streamlined, and agreed upon by stakeholders before any technical build or system configuration begins.
* Requirements Gathering: Translate the optimised 'to-be' processes into clear, detailed, and unambiguous functional and non-functional business requirements for the new collections system.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between the collections operations team and the IT/project team, ensuring business priorities drive the initial system implementation scope.
* Process Improvement: Identify quick-win operational improvements that can be implemented alongside or before the system rollout.
Required Experience and Skills:
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst who has ideally worked on a major greenfield system implementation project.
* Essential: Strong demonstrable experience in mapping, designing, and optimizing Collections processes. Mortgage experience is highly desirable.
* Excellent proficiency in process modeling tools and methodologies (e.g., BPMN, value stream mapping).
* Solid understanding of IT project lifecycle, with the ability to bridge the gap between business operations and technical teams.
