Community Safety Officer
This role is committed to ensuring the wellbeing of the community through proactive measures and enforcement of safety regulations.
The Community Safety Officer will be involved in various activities, including community education, parking control, domestic animal management, fire prevention, school crossings, after-hours on-call duties, and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing safety initiatives and programs
- Collaborating with community groups and stakeholders
- Providing educational resources and workshops
Requirements:
- A Certificate IV in Animal Management/Local Government/Statutory Compliance, or equivalent experience
- Qualified or willing to qualify as an Assistant Municipal Fire Prevention Officer
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Customer-focused when interacting with external stakeholders

About This Role:
- Part-time fixed-term until 12 February 2026
- 2 days / 15.2 hours per week
- Band 5: $38.90 per hour + 11.5% superannuation
