At MVCC our corporate planning and reporting functions work closely with social and health planning to elevate the impact, measurement and reporting of Council's work and support the organisation with service planning. These important roles contribute to the development, organisational oversight, monitoring and reporting of delivery of key strategic documents and performance indicators. These opportunities exist for analytical thinkers with an eye for detail to deliver on Council's corporate reporting responsibilities. You will apply your people skills to work across the organisation seeking information to create relevant, accurate and interesting reports on the delivery of the Council Plan and Council's operational performance, in accordance with the Local Government Act 2020. Reporting to the Senior Coordinator Corporate and Social Planning, these positions will be responsible for undertaking the data collection, curation and collation of the Annual Report, Council Plan delivery reports, performance indicator measurement and service planning support. Other responsibilities include: Contributing to the preparation of the annual program of Council Plan initiatives. Assisting with the collation of performance indicator data. Supporting staff to enable efficient reporting and auditing. Preparation of relevant materials for audits. Providing support to Council's service planning and service review functions. Skills & Experience Experience in collecting, interrogating and analysing data. Demonstrated understanding of and experience relating to corporate performance reporting as it applies to Local Government. Ability to coordinate reporting processes and recommend process improvements for the organisation. Experience in service planning and reviewing, or knowledge of service planning and reviewing concepts and techniques. High level of written and oral communication, analytical and conceptual skills and negotiation skills together with ability to prepare and present strategic plans, reports and submissions. Previous experience and knowledge of corporate planning and reporting systems i.e. Pulse CPR, Camms Interplan, is desirable. Experience in the use of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Experience in programs such as TRIM, Visio, Sharepoint and Power BI is desirable. Proven ability to plan, implement and maintain projects.
