Overview
The Digital Customer (Smart Service Queensland) (SSQ) team within the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) provides digitally enabled whole-of-government services to the Queensland public through multiple channels including phone, chat, counter and online. This stream brings together technology, development, products, design, engagement, and operations to deliver simpler connected services.
As The Senior Financial Analyst, You Will
Responsibilities
* Manage the production of accurate and timely management accounting financial reports including budget variance and revenue forecasting analysis.
* Identify and develop financial models, to ensure Digital Customer (SSQ) uses appropriate and current tools to support the analysis of significant investments, strategic initiatives, development of business cases, strategic assessments and service proposals.
* Manage and maintain financial models, for Digital Customer (SSQ), to ensure currency of key data, including fee for service models and service optimisation.
* Establish, maintain, update and train others in the effective use of generic budget tracking tools, to ensure that Digital Customer (SSQ) tracks and reports on budget management.
* Undertake financial analysis, for Digital Customer (SSQ), and conduct cost benefit analysis, associated with new business opportunities.
* Complete business cases, where required, for Digital Customer (SSQ), to assess the viability of new business opportunities.
* Lead and develop the finance team, and oversee day to day activities, to ensure workflow is completed.
* Provide assistance to stakeholders to ensure that financial models are used accurately and consistently.
