Overview
Facility Manager - Residential Aged Care. mecwacare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Facility Manager to lead our residential aged care home, Rositano House, a boutique-style home with 30 beds located in Richmond. As Facility Manager, you'll lead the daily operations of the home, ensuring exceptional care, comfort, and lifestyle for residents. You will report to the General Manager of Residential Services and guide a multidisciplinary team supported by experts in Quality, Learning and Development and P&C. You will operate under AN-ACC funding guidelines to drive continuous improvement and make the best use of resources, creating a vibrant, inclusive community where residents feel valued, engaged, and truly at home.
What you bring
* Current and ongoing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Previous experience as a Facility Manager.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a residential aged care setting in a clinical management role.
* Proven ability to mentor and motivate staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, and a commitment to person-centred care principles and continuous quality improvement.
* Advanced computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Email, iCare) with excellent organisational and prioritisation skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience in managing teams, budgets, resources, and operational performance.
* Satisfies ongoing requirements of 'Key Personnel' as defined in Aged Care Act 2024.
* Advanced clinical expertise and experience in residential aged care, including serving as an Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Lead.
* Proficient knowledge of Aged Care Quality Review Standards and AN-ACC documentation requirements.
* Excellent customer service focus and ability to operate autonomously, responding to needs in a timely and systematic manner.
* Current First Aid, CPR and WWCC certifications.
* Ongoing commitment to personal and professional development, with the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the aged care industry.
Desirable
* Postgraduate qualification in Aged Care, Health Services Management, or related field.
* Experience with Aged Care Quality Review and regulatory audits.
* Knowledge of dementia and palliative care.
* Strong project management skills.
