About the Role:
Due to an increasing demand for CCTV, remote working solutions, fibre optics and advanced IT communications systems, Frontier Voice & Data is looking for a senior Cabler / Technician to join our team. This role will primarily involve installing and maintaining Cat 6 and fibre cabling, while also supporting the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cloud-based phone systems and IT networks. This is a casual position with full time hours based in Toowoomba, Queensland.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Cat 6 and fibre optic cabling for customer networking solutions
• Configure, maintain, and support cloud-based phone systems and IT networks
• Support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of commercial CCTV, alarm and access control systems
• Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality service to our customers
• Participate in ongoing technical training to enhance skillset and knowledge
Technical Requirements:
• ACMA open cabling licence with endorsements is essential
• Experience with the latest Telco tech hand tools and fit-off devices
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining CCTV systems (preferred but not essential)
• Experience with the configuration, maintenance, and support of cloud-based phone systems (3CX) and IT networks (preferred but not essential)
Non-Technical Requirements:
• Open driver's licence (manual transmission vehicle)
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
• Passion for delivering excellent customer service
• Willingness to learn and grow in the field
