Anglicare NT offers a range of career opportunities in the community and social services sector in a diverse range of fields such as children and youth, family relationships and counselling, refugee and migrant, corporate services, financial counselling, mental health, disability and home care, social enterprises, and specialist homelessness servicesWe offer great benefits, including:- Further training and development options.- Flexible working conditions; five (5) weeks annual leave.- A strengths-based environment.We also offer great salary packaging options that can significantly increase your take-home pay.About headspaceheadspace are a busy and innovative youth mental health service providing a variety of mental health, medical, sexual and other health related services as well as vocational, functional groups and social services to young people aged 12 to 25 years and their families.About the OpportunityThe Clinician will provide engagement, assessment, clinical case management & treatment for young people aged 12-25 years experiencing symptoms of psychosis & co-occurring mental health difficulties.You will work with the headspace team to deliver youth friendly, family inclusive, culturally appropriate services. The role will provide professional and effective therapeutic interventions and support services to young people and their families according to best practice standards. You will provide clear referral pathways for young people to access internal and external services and maintain current data standards and clinical records in a timely and professional manner.To be successful in this role you will have:Approved tertiary qualification (Allied Health) and registration with the relevant regulatory body such as AHPRA.Minimum one (1) year experience in youth mental health.Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with young people and their families, providing empathetic and supportive care.Knowledge and experience in delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions and clinical case management.Strong understanding of youth mental health issues, including psychosis and co-occurring disorders.A passion for youth mental health, in particular working with young Aboriginal people and their families, and keen interest in improving service, access, and cultural safety of primary youth services.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.For further information on this exciting opportunity, please contact Beverley Pavkovich, Program Manager Early Psychosis on (08 89315999)Note : The filling of this position is intended to constitute a special/equal opportunity measure under section 8(1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth), section 57 of the Antidiscrimination Act 1996 (NT) and section 12 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010.Special Measures vacancies are open to everyone including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.However, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants will be granted priority consideration for this vacancy.As part of the recruitment process, please address the key selection criteria using the online application on the Anglicare NT website.Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must provide 100 points of identification to confirm Australian citizenship or eligibility to work in Australia; possess a Working with Children (Ochre Card), a current National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a valid NT driver’s licence.Experience of working closely with and having a strong understanding of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander culture would be considered an advantage.Anglicare NT is a Child Safe, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply.Anglicare NT is committed to providing a safe working environment and taking all reasonably practicable steps to ensure that its people and the community are protected against vaccine-preventable diseases.
