As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter with leadership capabilities to join our team.
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced CARPENTER skilled in timber installations, with strong leadership qualities, to manage and execute installation and carpentry activities across residential and commercial construction projects.
The role requires technical expertise in carpentry and glazing systems, supervisory skills, and the ability to deliver projects on time, safely and in accordance with Australian Standards and building codes.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret technical drawings, architectural plans, and specifications to determine project requirements.
Manage the ordering and selection of timber framing materials.
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install structural and non-structural components including timber, aluminium, and glass.
Select and prepare appropriate materials, tools, and equipment to complete installations efficiently.
Lead and supervise site teams, allocate tasks, and monitor performance to ensure productivity and quality standards.
Carry out on-site problem solving, adjustments, and technical modifications as required.
Organise and plan job schedules, including material procurement, project timelines, and team assignments.
Meet with clients to discuss project requirements, provide expert advice, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the installation process.
Manage logistics for each project, including the transportation of materials, on-site setup, and coordination with other trades as needed.
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company standards and client expectations.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Address any on-site issues or challenges promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.
Qualifications
Proven 2 years of experience as a Carpenter.
White Card (Construction Induction Training) required.
Additional certifications such as Working at Heights and Elevated Work Platform licenses (desirable).
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organisational and job planning abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to meet with clients and understand their needs.
Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations.
Valid driver's licence.
