As a Design and Marketing Assistant you will be involved in the planning and crafting of beautiful furniture pieces and interiors while ensuring the smooth operation of the client experience within the business. You will also assist with the promotion and marketing of the Mark Alexander Design brand.

We are looking for a smart, self-motivated individual who has a passion for design / interior design / beautiful furniture who can help us craft design process and articles to highlight our incredible work across Australia. Applicants should be studying or completed a degree in interior design, design, journalism, content marketing, marketing or similar. The role is open for either part or full time, depending on your flexibility and is at our head offices and unique production factories located in Ballarat.
You should have a good understanding of the following platforms and be able to craft engaging content.
* Meta Business Suite - for scheduling social media posts and setting up social media ads
* WordPress - for website updating
* Canva or Adobe Photoshop - for image editing
* Klaviyo - for newsletters
* Adobe Premiere Pro - for video editing
* Adobe Illustrator - for graphics

Currently we haveone position available for an in-house design and marketing assistant in our Ballarat design headquarters.
* If you travel from Melbourne, transportation expenses and paid travel time can be negotiated. The head office is one block to the Ballarat station, 5 minutes' walk.
We are seeking someone who is very organised and a driven individual who wants to succeed in work and in life.
Applicants need to be comfortable using aMAC computer and possess intermediate to high computer-based skills.
We require someone who possess:
* Experience with posting and maintaining social media platforms for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
* Experience with setting up social media ads
* Experience using WordPress
* Experience using Klaviyo
* Experience with the Adobe Suite including Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Premiere Pro
* Experience using MS programs including Excel to create spreadsheets and quotes
* Experience using Gmail, sending, and replying to emails
* Excellent phone manner and customer relations
* Is comfortable using an iPhone and associated applications including WeChat and understands sharing files via airdrop.
* Extremely time efficient and ability to multitask is essential
* Scheduling and organisational skills essential
* Strong mathematical skills highly important
* Applicants must have an eye for details with a strong work ethic and be flexible
* Willingness to learn and grow within the company
* Experience with photography and video editing desirable.
