A leading Sydney‑based non‑bank lending and financial advisory firm specialising in private credit, structured finance, and property‑backed lending solutions is seeking a skilled Credit Analyst to join their expanding team.
The business partners with developers, investors, and high‑net‑worth clients to provide flexible funding across residential, commercial, and construction markets. Known for its analytical depth, speed of execution, and market responsiveness, the firm combines institutional‑grade credit discipline with the agility of a private lender.
The Opportunity
This role is designed for a Credit Analyst with direct experience in private lending or private credit, seeking to broaden their exposure to complex, property‑backed transactions. You will work closely with senior originators and decision‑makers, conducting detailed analysis, structuring transactions, and ensuring that all deals align with the firm's credit and risk frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive financial and cash‑flow modelling to evaluate loan feasibility and risk exposure
* Assess borrower capacity, asset quality, security position, and transaction structure
* Prepare high‑quality credit papers and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders
* Monitor portfolio performance, covenant compliance, and early risk indicators
* Liaise with developers, valuers, brokers, and legal advisers to support transaction execution
* Maintain up‑to‑date understanding of market conditions, private credit trends, and regulatory developments impacting the sector
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 2-5 years' experience in private lending, private credit, or structured finance
* Strong financial modelling and analytical capability (Excel proficiency essential)
* Clear understanding of credit risk assessment, loan structuring, and security documentation
* Commercially astute with an ability to identify risk and opportunity in property‑backed transactions
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
* Degree‑qualified in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
