ABOUT THE POSITION
As the Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the project working with and leading the wider team. You will report to the Development Director and work collaboratively with the Construction Teams and Development Teams.
DUTIES
* Responsible for full life cycle project management from budgeting, engaging consultants, managing the design process, authority approval process, tendering to sub‐contractors and contract negotiation, managing construction works.
* Site set‐up and construction efficiencies.
* Assist in the procurement and management of sub‐contractors.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to manage expectations.
* Prepare and deliver monthly reports and presentation for Senior Management.
* Manage construction contractual risks and issues.
* Facilitate input from team members and other stakeholders and prepare Construction Program, and Project Management Plans to manage the planning and delivery of assigned construction projects.
* Develop procurement strategies, forecasting and project schedule.
* Deliver tasks and projects that demonstrate a thorough understanding and application of best practice project management principles to achieve targets.
* Build a strong positive team and work environment to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
* Compliance with regulations, quality control and best practice.
* Identify opportunities for improvement as the project proceeds and arrange formal lessons learned forums after projects to contribute to continuous improvement.
* On site management of external stakeholders (hotel operators, heritage/archaeological, traditional owners and communities, tenants).
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field of study, coupled with experience in design and project management from either a main contractor, design consultant, or project management group, through pre‐construction or delivery.
* Complex commercial and/or mixed‐use project experience is preferred.
* Ability to develop and deliver technical reports, briefs and prepare visual presentations through PowerPoint.
* Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills with the ability to support in fostering a culture in‐line with company's key values.
* Ability to be self‐sustained, lead and create a strong work culture and successful project on time and budget.
* Passionate about delivering customer‐focused quality, leaving a positive legacy in the communities in which you operate.
* Minimum 10 years' experience.
