Overview
The Australian Federal Police (AFP) seeks an experienced photographer and videographer to support ACT Policing's communications. The role involves filming a variety of activities, capturing portraits, and producing media for internal and public distribution.
Responsibilities
* Film search warrant activity and training exercises for internal education packages.
* Produce professional portraits of police and community members.
* Capture imagery for AFP's social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, LinkedIn).
* Record and edit media for press conferences and interviews.
* Create videos and stills for public dissemination of operational activities.
* Develop visual content for television, print and online promotional and advertising campaigns.
* Produce materials for internal training packages, annual report, internal magazine and other publications.
Essential Qualifications
* Australian citizenship.
* Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
* Relevant tertiary qualification or extensive experience and knowledge in video production and professional photography.
* Demonstrated contemporary knowledge and experience of professional video and photo editing.
Desirable Qualifications
* Ability to liaise confidently with sworn and professional staff at all rank levels.
* Experience in graphic design (desirable but not essential).
Working Pattern
This is an operations role. The successful applicant will work a roster that includes hours between 7am and 7pm Monday to Friday, additional weekend and public holiday shifts, and other out‐of‐hours work as required.
