This is a part-time position as an Assistant Buyer and Driver at The Goods Flower Company going in between our Footscray, VIC, 3011 warehouse and our Melbourne Market stand in Epping, 3076. As an Assistant Buyer, you will play a key role in purchasing flowers at the Melbourne Market and also some Selling our flowers to florists off our stand.
Valid Australian work authorisation or appropriate work visa is required for this position.
What you'll be doing
Loading and transporting flowers to and from our warehouse in Footscray and the Market in Epping.
Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality flowers and other floral products.
Support the sales team by processing transactions, handling customer queries, and maintaining visual merchandising standards.
Sell and take orders from florists off our stand in the Melbourne Market.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our operations and customer experience.
What we're looking for
Availability to work night shift hours from 12am to 8am is essential.
Interest in flowers, plants or gardening. Some basic botanical knowledge is ideal.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to provide knowledgeable and friendly assistance.
Organised and disciplined mindset, with an eye for detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
Flexibility to work part-time hours.
Availability to work 2-3 days per week on a part-time basis is required.
Excellent driving record and ability to drive large Mercedes sprinter Van.
Standard car licence is sufficient for operating the Mercedes Sprinter van.
