Synergie is seeking a (On-Call Service) Chef for our client who is a leading infrastructure services company delivering essential services across sectors including defence, mining, utilities, and transport. Known for safety, reliability, and operational excellence, they support remote operations through quality facilities management and service delivery located in Edinburgh.
About the Role
As a Site Chef, you'll play a key role in providing high-quality meals to workers in a busy village-style camp. This is a short-term FIFO contract role with rostered swings, perfect for someone who enjoys fast-paced environments and wants to experience life working remotely.
You'll be responsible for:
1. Preparing and cooking meals for breakfast, crib lunch, and dinner services
2. Maintaining a high standard of hygiene and food safety compliance
3. Assisting with menu preparation, stock control, and kitchen operations
4. Ensuring dietary requirements and food portions are managed correctly
5. Working as part of a kitchen team to meet service deadlines
6. Supporting cleaning and sanitation of kitchen and equipment
What We're Looking For
7. Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery ( Cert IV)
8. Previous experience in bulk catering or remote/industrial sites preferred
9. A strong work ethic and a team-oriented mindset
10. Good time management and adaptability under pressure
11. Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and provide police clearance
