Description We are looking to hire a Maintenance Supervisor to join the team at our Fulfillment Center (FC) in Dandenong Sth. This role is the supervisor for a team of up to 8 Technicians (fitters and electricians). The position requires leadership skills to provide both reactive and proactive maintenance services for all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure within the Fulfilment Centre (FC). The supervisor will design solutions for complex problems, manage external contractors, and respond to emergency calls. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects and daily activities meeting required deadlines. Learn more about Amazon RME in Australia (https://amazon.jobs/content/en/teams/fulfillment-and-operations/rme-australia?cmpid=AS_LIHR200027B) Key job responsibilities - Supervise and lead Maintenance Technicians by motivating, providing guidance and directions to help them achieve their goals. - Deliver and maintain Preventive Maintenance programs, building compliance programs, including facility and contractor management. - Act as an ambassador for safety within the team and to promote safe working across the site. - Manage maintenance related purchase orders to maximise smooth facility operation and control of critical spare and store inventory to ensure adequate stock levels for maintenance. - Install, maintain, and troubleshoot all FC systems including power distribution, automated material handling equipment, conveyance, and all other operational equipment. - Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organisation, including regular attendance to site leadership meetings and steering committees. Basic Qualifications - Formal trade qualification: Cert III In Electrotechnology holding an unrestricted trade licence OR Cert III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, trade qualifications formally recognised in Australia. - Industrial maintenance electrical experience with in the Electrical license - Leadership experience in supervising multi-trade teams in a fast paced industrial manufacturing/distribution center environment. - Experience in mentoring and developing technicians. - Relevant experience in automation or material handling equipment environments. - Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks. - Experience in contractor management. Preferred Qualifications - Preferred qualifications are not required to apply for a position at Amazon.
