**About the role**
Reporting to the GM of Sales and working closing with the CEO, this business-critical leadership role will see the Head of Business Development lead the efforts of the National Strategic Business Development function. You will set and execute a robust national business development plan, identify, and build a pipeline of targeted strategic accounts, network up to C-suite level, coach, train, support and develop the business develop team, negotiate, and close complex deals to win market share. This role offers an exciting career path for an exceptional business development leader onto broader leadership roles within this growing organisation.
**Skills & experience**
- Tertiary qualification in business or relevant field (preferred)
- Have experience across one of the following aligned industries; Warehouse design & fit out, Logistics & Transport, Materials Handling or Transport Equipment
- Be a highly organised and driven strategic business development leader.
- Hands on authentic leadership style, someone who leads from the front with impact and high energy.
- Experience in strategic sales planning and execution
- Mechanical knowledge or earlier technical background (preferred)
- Developing and executing business development strategy
- Results focused and well-developed customer service skills.
- Ability to converse and negotiate across a range of decision makers up to C-Suite level.
- Be commercially astute and able to deal through complexity.
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Be detail focused, an exceptional presenter and influencer.
