Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Farm Manager to support the daily operations of a high-performing broadacre cropping farm, covering 13000ha near Jerramungup, WA.
This hands-on role will see you working closely with the Farm Manager to implement efficient cropping programs, manage machinery operations, and maintain a safe, productive work environment. Responsibilties of the role
* Operating and maintaining modern cropping equipment across seeding, spraying, fertilising, and harvesting programs
* Recording field operations and machinery use with attention to detail
* Supporting and promoting WHS policies and safe work practices
* Assisting with the planning and execution of farm maintenance and improvement projects
* Supervising fulltime staff, seasonal casual staff and contractors and contributing to an effective and engaged team
* Communicating regularly with the Farm Manager and contributing to work planning and team development
Requirements & Skills
* Proven experience in broadacre grain farming and crop management
* Competency operating farm machinery and associated cropping equipment
* Leadership skills and experience supervising staff or seasonal teams
* Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
* Confidence using Microsoft Office and basic farm management systems
* Current driver’s licence (heavy vehicle licence preferred)
* Chemical Users Accreditation and First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
* Agricultural degree or diploma preferred but not essential
