About the Role
You will work closely with the Head Chef to maintain high culinary standards and ensure smooth daily kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist the Head Chef in planning and developing new menu items and seasonal specials.
· Work closely with the Head Chef to coordinate daily kitchen operations.
· Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a high standard, ensuring consistency in flavour, portion, and presentation.
· Supervise and guide kitchen staff under the direction of the Head Chef to maintain quality control throughout food preparation, cooking, and plating.
· Help the Head Chef monitor and control stock levels and assist with ordering as required.
· Assist in training and mentoringkitchen staff.
· Support the Head Chef in managing food and labour costs to meet business budgets.
· Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe kitchen environment in line with health regulations.
About You:
· Hold Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery or above.
· Have at least 1 years of relevant experience in a similar role
· Strong time management and organizational skills.
· Reliable, team-focused and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
