A leading medical device company with a strong and growing presence across Australia and New Zealand is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead and transform their scheduling and kit management function across a complex, multi-site network.
With a remit spanning inventory scheduling, kit returns, and short-range planning, this role offers the opportunity to bring structure, forward thinking, and genuine leadership to a function in the early stages of meaningful transformation.
About the Role
This is an operational leadership role sitting within a high-performing supply chain and operations group. You'll own the day to day scheduling function across a network that includes distribution centres, loaner and kit room sites across ANZ, and consignment inventory held across hundreds of hospital sites. Leading a team that includes an experienced Team Lead and their reports, you'll be as focused on developing your people as you are on driving operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a high-impact team: coach, support, and empower experienced schedulers who keep surgical operations running smoothly across a complex hospital network
* Drive proactive planning: evolve the function from reactive, demand-driven scheduling to a forward-looking short-range planning model
* Introduce smarter systems: reduce administrative burden, drive automation, and free your team to focus on high-value work
* Own end-to-end scheduling operations: allocating inventory from incoming bookings, coordinating kit room teams to pack and dispatch loan kits, and managing rapid hospital returns
* Invest in your people: Building genuine leadership capability throughout the team
* Rationalise and simplify the KPI framework
* Own stakeholder partnerships: collaborate closely with planning, sales, and supply chain stakeholders to streamline outcomes and solve logistical puzzles
About You
We're looking for a people-first supply chain leader who is commercially aware, structured in their thinking, and energised by the challenge of building something better. You'll be equally comfortable on the floor with your team and in the room with senior sales and commercial stakeholders, and you'll know how to earn trust and drive change.
You will have:
* A background in short-range planning, production scheduling, or asset/fleet management; someone who naturally thinks in terms of forward planning
* Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, medical devices, or similarly disciplined supply chain environments
* A genuine track record of developing people, not just managing them: identifying talent, investing in it, and building the next generation of leaders
* Strong analytical and interpersonal skills: able to build a compelling case from data and land it convincingly with high-performing commercial teams
Why Join?
This business has grown significantly over recent years and is targeting continued expansion through to 2030. Supply chain is a critical enabler of that growth, and this role sits at the centre of a function that is ready to step up. In the near term, you'll build strong foundations: getting close to your team, simplifying how performance is measured, and beginning to shift the function toward smarter, more proactive planning. Over time, you'll transform the scheduling function into a true planning operation and leave a lasting mark on how the business runs.
This is a rare opportunity to lead, build, and be recognised for it.
