General Practice - Consultant - Warren Multi Purpose Service
Requirements: GP VMO with Emergency Medicine experience in a Rural and Remote region, general ward work, and Residential Aged Care medicine. Must have completed eMeds and eMR and current year Flu Vaccination evidence. Good communication skills required. Clinical competencies: General Practice, Emergency medicine, Trauma, Advanced Life Support – Adult, Life Support – Paediatric, Circulation.
On‐call requirements: Sole doctor on call 24/7. Called for all triage categories as directed by local Registered nurses or vCare/VRGS. Expected to review all cases in‐person throughout the day. From 8pm, review Category 1, 2, 3 in‐person. Category 4 and 5 escalated directly to you at all hours. Discretion of nursing staff in liaison with you regarding lower acuity patients after hours. Must attend inpatients deteriorating. Fatigue breaks to be discussed with the Health Service Manager. Support available via vCare in emergencies.
Hours required to be on‐site: 08:00 – 20:00.
Facility: Warren Multipurpose Service (MPS) has 42 beds, provides Acute Care, an Emergency Department, Radiology Services, Residential Aged Care, Physiotherapy, Community Health, and Ambulatory Care. It operates a 24‐hour Emergency Department. Patients may be transferred to Dubbo Health Service if needed.
