Purpose of the Role
To complete the design and establishment of an enterprise‑wide architecture, ensuring the technology and service model aligns to the new cyber security protocols and commercial objectives by 30 June.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the completion of enterprise‑wide solution architecture, building on groundwork already completed.
* Design and document target‑state architectures that align with:
* New cyber security model and protocols.
* Commercial and operational objectives set by the CEO and executive team.
* Support the establishment of a panel of professional services providers, including:
* Defining technical standards and reference architectures.
* Contributing to evaluation criteria and selection.
* Collaborate with the Project Director, CDO, and other senior stakeholders to prioritise and sequence architectural work.
* Provide architectural oversight and guidance to delivery teams.
* Identify key risks, dependencies, and mitigations related to architectural decisions.
* Produce high‑quality architectural artefacts (patterns, principles, roadmaps, designs).
Ideal Experience & Background
* Proven experience as a
Solution Architect
working on enterprise‑level initiatives.
* Strong background in
transport and logistics
or closely related industries – able to "hit the ground running" in an operational, asset‑heavy context.
* Experience designing and implementing enterprise‑wide architectures (applications, integrations, data, security).
* Familiarity with cyber security protocols and integrating security requirements into solution designs.
* Experience contributing to or setting up panels of professional services or vendor ecosystems.
* Comfortable working at pace with C‑suite stakeholders (CEO, CDO) and project leadership.
* Excellent communication skills – able to present complex designs in clear business language.
