Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Unit Manager to join our Anaesthetics Department on a full-time basis. In this position you will be responsible for:
· Providing operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management
· Coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based
· Ensuring the delivery of excellent patient and family centred care in a team focused environment
· Providing guidance, mentoring and support to your team
· Be accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources
· Undertaking direct patient care, as required
· Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Essential Requirements:
* Current Registration with AHPRA
* Minimum 5 years' experience
* Current ALS and PALS Certificate
* Quality Improvement projects
* Resource management - equipment, staffing, succession planning
* Sound clinical knowledge
* Product/Equipment trial and evaluation
* Focus on the development of our business unit working with the Doctors
* Experience in the Acute setting/relevant to position advanced skills
* Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
* Positive role modelling behaviours
* Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation
* Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment
* High degree of computer literacy
