About the Role:
We're seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Brisbane-based Finance team at UniLodge & Essence. In this role, you'll take ownership of core accounting functions across our growing portfolio of Australian and New Zealand properties, ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing strategic support to our operational teams.
You will also work closely with Property Managers and building owners to deliver financial insight, enhance compliance, and drive continuous improvement.
At a Glance, You Will
* Prepare month-end management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet reconciliations, GST and cash flow statements
* Provide variance analysis and commentary on actuals vs budget/forecast
* Assist both UniLodge and clients with their annual budgeting cycle, regular forecasting and annual audit requirements
* Manage AR invoicing, arrears reporting and corporate credit card processes
* Utilise Property Management Systems to support end-of-month activities and provide financial support to property teams
Our Ideal Candidate:
* Unrestricting working rights in Australia
* Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Business with CA/CPA studies underway or near completion
* Minimum 3 years' experience within a similar role in finance
* Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and a proactive approach
