The role
We're partnering with a leading financial services organisation on a major Claims Modernisation program and are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst to join a high-profile Data & AI delivery stream. This is not a traditional BA role. You will sit at the intersection of Claims, Data, AI and delivery, helping shape and deliver initiatives focused on Property and Motor Claims through data-driven and AI-enabled solutions. Working closely with Claims stakeholders, Product Owners, Architects, Data & AI specialists and delivery teams, you will bring clarity to complex problems, support discovery and POCs, and help ensure initiatives are practical, well-governed and aligned to business outcomes. What you'll be doing: Partner with Property and Motor Claims stakeholders to define problems, outcomes and success measures Support discovery, intake and triage of Data & AI initiatives Shape and support proofs of concept, pilots and early-stage solution thinking Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements, process flows and acceptance criteria Facilitate workshops, stakeholder sessions and requirements walkthroughs Manage Jira Cloud epics, stories and delivery artefacts Produce structured Confluence documentation including discovery outputs, decisions, RAID and process flows Work closely with technical teams to understand dependencies, data flows and delivery feasibility Support Agile delivery including backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing and implementation activities Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies early What we're looking for: Proven experience as a Senior Technical Business Analyst Mandatory insurance experience, specifically within Property and Motor Claims Strong Agile delivery capability Advanced Jira Cloud and Confluence experience Experience operating within large, regulated enterprise environments Strong discovery, POC and pilot experience Understanding of data concepts including quality, governance, privacy and lineage Practical understanding of AI and Generative AI concepts, including governance, risks and human review considerations Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills Ability to challenge ambiguity and shape clear delivery outcomes About you: You are not a passive requirements gatherer. You can challenge unclear scope, shape meaningful problem statements and produce high-quality delivery artefacts that help teams move faster with confidence. You bring strong technical BA capability, Claims domain knowledge and a genuine interest in how Data & AI can improve customer, operational and business outcomes.
