**Therapy Animal Support Role**
The role of the therapy animal support team member involves providing care and assistance to our on-site animals at a community wellness hub.
As a vital part of our team, you will play a key role in supporting the health, wellbeing, and happiness of our therapy animals.
Our bunnies and ducks provide comfort, joy, and therapeutic benefits to visitors. Your care ensures they remain happy, healthy, and safe.
This is an excellent opportunity to interact with visitors and help them connect with our animals in a calm and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Feed, water, and care for our therapy bunnies and ducks.
* Clean enclosures and maintain safe, hygienic living spaces for the animals.
* Monitor the animals' health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns to staff.
* Support positive interactions between visitors and therapy animals, ensuring a safe and gentle environment.
* Assist with animal enrichment activities, socialisation, and light maintenance tasks.
* Promote a welcoming and calming atmosphere within the wellness hub.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Compassion for animals and an interest in animal welfare.
* Friendly, approachable, and comfortable interacting with visitors of all ages.
* Ability to follow instructions and maintain hygiene and safety standards.
* Patience and gentle handling skills, with a commitment to animal wellbeing.
* Enthusiasm for supporting the community through animal-assisted programs.
