Ballina NSW Workshop & Field Service Mechanic position.
* $45 to $52 per hour, straight to double time after 9 hours. + super.

What we do:
* Diesel engine repairs & troubleshooting
* Transmission and driveline repairs
* Electrical repairs
* Air Conditioning
* Hydraulic hose making, hydraulic repairs & system installations.
* Access equipment repairs
* Preventative maintenance
* Basic welding and fabrication
What we are looking for:
Qualified mechanic in either, heavy plant, ag, road transport, small engines or light vehicle.
* Light vehicle mechanics have the opportunity to cross skill over to heavy vehicle trade qualification with us for the right candidate. Rate of pay would be slightly less unless candidate already has experience in heavy equipment field.
* Be able to organise and plan your own jobs, liaise with customers and deliver quality work in a safe and professional manner.
* Electrical & Mechanical troubleshooting skills essential
* Air conditioning experience desirable
* Drivers licence essential, HR licence desirable
* Forklift licence desirable
* Must be willing to undertake random drug & alcohol testing as part of quarry and mine site entry requirements.
* Successful candidate must be interested in mechanics, hydraulics & electrical enough to have the desire to troubleshoot and repair systems by learning & researching on their own. You must be a mechanic of understanding, not a mechanic of habit. If you are not interested in troubleshooting, this job is not for you.
