Senior Technology Controls Tester
We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Technology Controls Tester to join our Privacy & Technology Governance team at Insignia Financial. You'll be stepping into a role with real scope and visibility at a time when the importance and breadth of technology controls testing is rapidly increasing.
Working closely with the Senior Manager, you will support the day‐to‐day running of the programme, manage priorities, and provide coverage where needed. You'll take ownership and responsibility while staying hands‐on.
What You'll Be Doing
* Own and deliver the Technology Controls Testing Plan aligned to the Risk Management Framework
* Perform hands‐on testing across ITGCs, application, security, and cloud controls, producing high‐quality evidence and outcomes
* Support the day‐to‐day running of the testing programme, coordinating assessments, triaging issues and keeping delivery on track
* Assess control effectiveness, articulate findings and drive remediation with control owners
* Contribute to continuous improvement, including monitoring, reporting, and uplift of the technology control environment
* Provide oversight and coaching to lift team capability, while supporting senior stakeholder and regulatory reporting
What You Will Bring
* Proven experience in technology controls testing, IT audit, or technology risk assurance
* Strong knowledge of ITGCs, security controls, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
* Experience working within risk frameworks and GRC platforms
* Understanding of ISO27001, NIST CSF, and regulatory requirements (e.g. CPS 234)
* Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and operate in a fast‐paced environment
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to challenge and communicate control gaps clearly
Nice to have
* Financial services experience
* Exposure to automation, data analytics, or AI‐enabled assurance
* Background in consulting or similarly high‐expectation environments
