**About Us**
Monash Health Imaging (MHI) provides diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology services to Monash Medical Centre Clayton, Moorabbin Hospital, Dandenong and Casey Hospitals, and Monash Children's Hospital. The Monash Health Imaging Department is fully integrated with Philips PACS/RIS and equipped with some of the latest medical imaging technology including six MRI units, eight CT units, more than 25 ultrasound units, six gamma cameras including three with SPECT CT, two PET/CTs, and three Angiography suites for Interventional Radiology and Neurointerventional Radiology. MHI also supports the Monash Biomedical Imaging site, one of the Monash University platforms that provides capacity and capability for human MRI and PET MRI research.
Together with the Monash University Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, MHI is currently the largest research department in Australia as measured by research funding and number of publications. The MHI service provides over 365,000 imaging examinations per year across all sites, currently employs approximately 500 EFT. The Imaging program clearly defines its mission as the delivery of leading edge, evidence-based diagnostic and therapeutic imaging services, and research and education that meets the needs of our community and employees.
Our proposed vision is to pursue excellence, be a beacon within imaging, and be the prime provider and destination of choice for our community, referrers, researchers, educational institutions, employees, and students. Monash Health Imaging is embarking on a journey to grow radiology-led clinical trials. We are in strong need for an experienced and data-driven Monash Health Imaging Clinical Trials and Research Manager (MHI CTM). We currently are involved in Phase 1 to Phase 3 clinical trials being led by our Interventional Radiology and NeuroInterventional Radiology teams. We are also funded to pursue several clinical studies and translational research. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Clinical Trials and Research Manager to help build and expand our clinical trial collaborations across Monash Health, across Australia and internationally.
**About the Role**
- Coordinating and managing clinical trials
- Direct and indirect clinical trial related care within scope of practice
- Completing and submit ethics and governance submissions for clinical trials
- Developing towards a structure and a team of clinical trial nurses to support clinical trial activity in the program.
- Input into conference abstracts / presentations
The MHI CTRM will liaise with the manager/team leader and relevant Monash Health personnel, to ensure appropriate clinical trial participant recruitment, data collection and database management in clinical trials as required. Mentoring will be provided for the development of Clinical Trial and Research Management expertise.
