Community Health Leader

This is a rare opportunity to lead a transformative program that directly improves the lives of children and families. The Targeted Lead Abatement Program (TLAP) seeks a visionary leader to drive its mission of improving community health and reducing lead exposure in Port Pirie.

About TLAP:

TLAP is a partnership between the South Australian Government and Nyrstar. Focused on protecting the health of children and families, TLAP delivers initiatives in house and land remediation, community health, dust control, strategic projects, and community engagement.

The Role:

As the Community Health Leader, you will report directly to the TLAP Board and lead the strategic delivery of this ambitious program. Your work will span across community engagement, governance, program implementation, and stakeholder collaboration. You will act as the public face of TLAP, working closely with government agencies, industry leaders, and the Port Pirie community to deliver results that matter.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide strategic leadership to drive TLAP's objectives and priorities.
* Oversee program delivery, budgets, and contracts with precision and accountability.
* Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government, industry leaders, and the Port Pirie community.
* Champion community engagement and advocacy to promote TLAP's mission.
* Act as a trusted advisor to the TLAP Board, ensuring effective governance and oversight.
* Be a visible leader in the community, participating in events and media engagements to build trust and transparency.

Requirements:

We need an inspiring leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, community impact, and operational excellence. Key attributes include:

* Proven experience in governance, program management, and stakeholder engagement.
* Exceptional communication and leadership skills to inspire trust and collaboration.
* A track record of delivering complex programs with measurable results.
* A commitment to environmental health, public health, or community wellbeing.
* A strong connection (or willingness to build one) with the Port Pirie community.

Why Join TLAP?

You will have the opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of children and families. You will work alongside passionate leaders from government, industry, and the community, driving positive change in one of South Australia's most unique regions.
