Community Care Assistant
The role of a Community Care Assistant involves providing person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes. This includes assisting with daily living and lifestyle requirements, such as domestic assistance, social support, and transportation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
* Social support/transportation: social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments.
* Supporting customers in the use of aids including standing or walking frames and wheelchairs.
* Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress.
* Participating in staff meetings and attending training as required.
* Perform work under the supervision of the Care Coordinator.
* Services are generally between the hours of 6am-6pm Monday to Friday.
What You Will Need:
* Australian Federal Police Clearance.
* Current CPR/First Aid Certificate.
* NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
* Current Australian Driver's Licence.
* Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is required).
* Smartphone with internet access.
