About the Role
As the Applications Engineer, you will act as the technical bridge between internal teams and customers.
You will:
Evaluate application requirements and prepare accurate technical recommendations
Support project scoping, delivery handovers, and engineering feasibility
Develop, validate, and support complex technical sales quotations
Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure aligned and successful outcomes
Conduct site visits, gather application data, and assess performance of existing installations
Ensure all technical documents, drawings, and resources remain current and accurate
Provide timely technical support and contribute to continuous improvement across the organisation
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys variety, balancing technical analysis, customer interaction, and cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare application assessments, solution specifications, and technical proposals
Develop and validate detailed or complex sales quotations
Provide technical support to Internal Sales and Project Delivery
Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and on-site assessments
Review customer specifications and translate them into clear engineering requirements
Ensure accurate handover documentation for Engineering and Projects
Maintain and update technical resources, drawings, photos, case studies and templates
Collaborate across teams to improve processes, communication, and project outcomes
What You'll Bring
Technical Skills & Experience
Engineering qualification (Mechanical preferred) with relevant industry experience
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents
Experience preparing application assessments or feasibility evaluations
Competency with Microsoft Office; exposure to CRM/ERP systems (SAP desirable)
Strong written and verbal communication, including technical writing
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
