About the Role
This role involves delivering high-quality plans and designs for civil works. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve project goals, ensuring efficient and cost-effective execution of civil operations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Designing civil construction components for permanent and temporary works;
* Liaising with the Construction Manager to improve processes and clarify design requirements;
* Ensuring civil operations are executed efficiently and cost-effectively;
* Performing duties as a Quality Management Representative;
* Reporting daily progress, non-compliance issues, and work delays to the Construction Manager;
* Conducting regular inspections of job sites to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement;
* Actively monitoring the work environment to identify and mitigate hazards;
* Assisting with quality and safety audits;
* Implementing technical and safety requirements for the project;
* Overseeing and monitoring daily quality control procedures;
* Tracking daily production and ensuring adherence to cost and schedule targets.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent;
* 1–2 years of experience in civil construction projects, preferably in a mining environment;
* A current, valid Australian driver's licence;
* Possession of a White Card;
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities;
* Excellent organisational and planning skills;
* Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, with intermediate to advanced skills.
