About The Role
Perform general and specialised food preparation and cooking duties. Assist the Executive Chef, Sous chef and Chef de Partie ensuring a consistently high quality of food product and service while maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic work area.
Duties
* Conduct food preparation and cooking duties ensuring menu items are prepared to recipe and quality standards.
* Ensure all guest special requests, including dietary needs, are acknowledged and variations created.
* Be aware of meal times and the importance of speed, time, efficiency and presentation of all meals.
* Mentor Apprentices, Commis and Cooks to ensure all items are prepared in line with the menu and Food Safety regulations
* Apply and monitor food safety procedures to ensure all menu items are prepared and served in line with Food Safety regulations.
Skills And Experience
* Commercial Cookery Qualifications and previous Commis Chef Experience
* Team Player, able to work unsupervised
* Must be available to work on any day including weekends and nights
