Electrical Commissioning and Start Up Technician
The Electrical Commissioning and Start Up Technician is responsible to deliver a high quality, consistent and competent service in accordance with project / company requirements, standards and procedures to support overall delivery of company goals and schedule. Details / Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with the site cardinal safety rules and with all safety aspects in the execution of work
* Ensure procedures and permits are followed safely
* Commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of MCC's, VSD's, Distribution Panels, Motors, Lighting and small power
* Inspect, test, adjust and commission equipment to satisfy appropriate governing standards.
* Work within OEM guidelines.
* Demonstrate high-quality fault-finding skills and the ability to troubleshoot autonomously.
* Observe and supervise Vendor staff working on or near the facilities as required.
* Carry out Cause and Effect Testing
* Attend system walkdowns
* Complete rectification works as required
* Close out Punch items
* Liaise with other discipline teams to undertake commissioning and start-up activities safely.
About You
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, along with a Cert III in Electrical Craft and proven expertise. They will hold an EEHA Certification, possess a current First Aid Certificate and LV Rescue, and ideally have nationally accredited training in Working at Heights. A current Full or Restricted Queensland Electrical Licence is also required.
